Fee’s
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee is $280 for a standard 50 minute session.
Intentional Living Psychology is committed to providing an affordable service for clients. Fees are the same for face-to-face and telehealth sessions. Our fee structure is as follows:
Individual Therapy: $210 (50 minutes), Out of Pocket $120.35 following a Medicare Rebate of $89.65 if eligible.
To be eligible to receive psychological services under Medicare, you must be referred by your GP and in some instances by another medical specialist with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) before your appointment. Speak to your GP about your eligibility to claim these Medicare benefits and the best person to make your referral. Sessions are paid in full at the time of your appointment and we will process your rebate to your nominated Medicare bank account.
Couples Therapy: $220 (50 minutes), Health insurance rebates may apply.
Please note that Medicare does not currently provide rebates for couples therapy.
Private Health Fund Rebate: Clients with Private Health Insurance may be entitled to claim a rebate for therapy following payment. Please contact your insurer to check your coverage, eligibility and rebate when seeing a Psychologist.
Cancellation Policy
Late cancelled appointments impact not only a client’s treatment progress, but also on the client’s psychologist, who has set an hour of their time aside to see the client; as well as other clients on Intentional Living Psychology’s waiting list who need to see a psychologist as soon as possible. For these reasons, if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require at least 48 hours’ notice. If you reschedule or cancel your appointment within this period or fail to attend, the following fees will apply (inclusive of GST) unless there are extenuating circumstances:
48+ Hours' Notice: No Fee;
24 - 48 Hours' Notice: Half Session Fee;
0 - 24 Hours' Notice: Full Session Fee.
No Show: Full Session Fee. Extenuating circumstances may be considered by your psychologist.
Please note unfortunately no Medicare rebate is available for cancelled appointments.
We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness an unexpected personal emergency. It this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation. If you are unable to attend the clinic because of unexpected symptoms related to COVID-19, a telehealth appointment will be offered to you.
